They had a garage sale
Even before you were on the plane to Hawaii
I cried
Surrounded by your things
I cried even more
And wanted to buy them all
As if that might bring you back
And then I stumbled on an old box
Filled with your small sculptures
Of Adam, Eve and the Serpent
God was missing
But I knew where He was
And I knew you had just said hello.
